    Are you ready to expand your clinical impact through supervision? We are recruiting for a clinically skilled clinician in our Substance Use Disorder Program. This position will provide clinical supervision and training to SUDPTs and SUDPs. Help make a positive impact on your community at the next level

    Starting Pay Range - $67, $72,488/year (Salaried / Exempt)

    Summary:

    The Substance Use Disorder Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for providing supervision and guidance to a team of substance use disorder professionals, case managers, and peers. The supervisor will ensure that the team adheres to best practices and maintains a high standard of care in providing services to clients with substance use disorders in the NorthStar Opiate Treatment Program. The role requires the applicant to meet the requirements established by WA Department of Health for an approved clinical supervisor, have expertise providing substance use disorder treatment and clinical supervision.

    Essential Job Responsibilities:

    Individual Supervision:
    • Conduct regular individual supervision sessions with each member of the clinical team.
    • Provide guidance, support, and feedback to clinicians regarding their caseloads, treatment plans, and therapeutic interventions through virtual platforms / in person.
    • Monitor and evaluate the clinical performance of each team member, identifying areas for improvement and providing training as necessary.
    • Maintain knowledge of supervision best practices. Participate in trainings to continue clinical supervision skill development.
    Group Supervision:
    • Conduct group supervision sessions to facilitate case consultations, peer support, and ongoing professional development through virtual meetings / in person.
    • Promote a collaborative learning environment and encourage the exchange of ideas and best practices among remote team members.
    • Address any challenges or concerns raised by clinicians during group supervision and provide guidance for resolution.
    Documentation Review:
    • Review and evaluate client treatment plans, progress notes, and other clinical documentation for compliance with regulatory standards and agency policies.
    • Provide constructive feedback to clinicians regarding their documentation through remote communication channels / in person to ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of content.
    • Assist clinicians in developing effective and client-centered treatment plans and progress notes.
    Co-Signature of Documentation:
    • Co-sign clinical documentation as required by agency policies and regulatory guidelines.
    • Ensure timely completion of co-signatures and communicate any concerns or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel through remote means.
    • Verify that co-signed documentation accurately reflects the services provided and aligns with the client's treatment goals.
    Chart Reviews:
    • Conduct periodic chart reviews to ensure compliance with documentation standards, clinical protocols, and regulatory requirements.
    • Identify any deficiencies or areas of improvement in the documentation process and provide feedback and training to address them.
    • Maintain accurate records of chart reviews and follow up on corrective actions implemented by clinicians.
    Training and Development:
    • Stay updated on the latest developments, research, and best practices related to the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria through learning opportunities.
    • Provide education and training to clinicians on ASAM criteria and assist in the application of the criteria in clinical decision-making and treatment planning.
    • Provide education and training to clinicians on evidence-based practices, crisis intervention, and relevant therapeutic modalities.
    • Support clinicians in their professional development plan
    WAC Education:
    • Stay informed about relevant Washington Administrative Codes (WAC) related to substance use disorder treatment and licensure.
    • Conduct educational sessions to ensure clinicians' understanding and adherence to WAC requirements in their clinical practice.
    • Assist clinicians in navigating regulatory compliance and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of any changes in WAC standards.
    Program Support:
    • Collaborate with the program director and other key staff to develop and implement program policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
    • Participate in program planning, staff meetings, and case conferences to ensure effective communication and coordination of services.
    • Provide support to the clinical team in addressing complex cases, crisis situations, and ethical dilemmas.
    Education, Licensing and Experience:
    • Active Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) (REQUIRED)
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in human services or related field.
    • Meet the requirements for an approved clinical supervisor according to WAC
    • Strong understanding of documentation requirements and substance use disorder regulations.
    • Minimum two years of supervisory experience in a behavioral health field.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
    • Ability to provide constructive feedback and support in a professional manner.
