    American Traveler is seeking a Radiologic Technologist with at least 2 years of hospital radiography experience and active ARRT (R) certification for a Level II Trauma setting.

    Responsibilities

    • Work in a hospital-based diagnostic radiology department serving a Level II Trauma center
    • Perform radiologic procedures in fixed and mobile settings including inpatient, OR, and ER
    • Patient population includes acute cases with trauma and potentially contagious conditions
    • 4 ten-hour afternoon/evening shifts per week, 1:00pm–11:00pm, with every third weekend rotation, and possible on-call for weekends and midnights
    • Role may require floating to a nearby sister hospital within the health system
    • Perform radiologic exams using independent judgment for technique, patient positioning, and safety
    • Possibility to be trained in OR procedures if not already experienced
    • Responsibilities include use of PACS/RIS for image management and study documentation
    • May select and administer intravenous contrast agents and monitor for patient reactions
    • Adherence to infection control, radiation safety (ALARA techniques), and patient privacy protocols
    • Must demonstrate strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills
    • No blocked scheduling permitted
    • COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory
    • Online modules must be completed onsite 1 week prior to start date
    • Scrub attire must comply with hospital dress code
    • Must report to the lab for drug screen within 24 hours of assignment commitment

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital setting required
    • Experience in Level II Trauma environment required
    • Active ARRT (R) certification and BLS (AHA) required
    • Active Michigan radiologic technologist license required for consideration; license required if applicable
    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Must complete assigned online modules and obtain a passing score prior to start
    • Physical ability to lift or move equipment and/or patients in excess of 10 lbs occasionally
