Senior Technical Editor and Specification Writer

NV5 is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Editor and Specification Writer to join our team in the Pacific Northwest. This role is crucial in supporting our experienced engineers across various locations.

NV5 is a leading provider of engineering and consulting services to public and private sector clients, delivering solutions through six business verticals: Testing, Inspection & Consulting; Infrastructure; Utility Services; Environmental Health Sciences; Buildings & Program Management; and Geospatial Technology.

We are looking for passionate, driven individuals to join our team focused on Delivering Solutions and Improving Lives.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with engineering teams to write and edit geotechnical reports, and develop specifications for roadway, civil engineering projects, bridges, and structures.
Ensure all documentation meets industry standards and client requirements, with a particular focus on transportation projects for agencies such as ODOT and WSDOT.
Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and accessible language for both private sector clients and public agencies.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in technical editing and specification writing, preferably within the engineering sector.
Familiarity with standards for geotechnical reports and civil engineering specifications.
Strong understanding of the design and construction processes related to transportation infrastructure.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
