    Job Description Job Description This role is on-site M-F at our client's headquarters in Northwest Austin, TX.Our client is a privately held, established software company based in Austin, TX that is looking for an Accounting Manager with a CPA to lead a small accounting team.


    Responsibilities:
    Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, expense management, and reporting.

    Manage the day-to-day activities of the accounting team, including invoicing, accounts payable, collections and bank reconciliations, while providing guidance, mentorship, and hands-on support.

    Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards.
    Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial stability.
    Collaborate with other departments to analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making.
    Assist in the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing visibility to expenses to support strategic planning and resource allocation.
    Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers.
    Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial management.


    Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA certification required.
    Proven experience (5+ years) in a financial management role, preferably in a tech company or related industry.
    Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
    Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
    Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
    Must reside in the greater Austin metro area.
