    What You'll Do

    This Product Developer role will help drive product innovation, design, and relationships with suppliers in the ever-changing fitness industry. To succeed, you will need solid experience creating conceptual design sketches that convey body styling, fit intent, fabrics, trims, and colors. You should be able to execute the design and development of products based on creative direction, product briefs, and line plans.

    You will work closely with the CEO/Founder and Product Team to create consistent storytelling across the brand. This role will also collaborate cross-functionally with Graphic Design, Product Development, Sourcing, and Merchandising teams on a complete product strategy to meet financial targets. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Assisting in the design and development of innovative seasonal, replenishment, and special event lines
    • Working cross-functionally with Merchandising, Sourcing, Design, and Product Development teams to ensure smooth transitions between initial concepts and final products
    • Communicating via email and chat to problem-solve and get points across regarding specific product issues
    • Partnering with domestic and overseas vendors to ensure design intent is carried through to the final product through sampling processes
    • Contributing to fittings and wear tests to document and communicate technical amendments and sizing changes to external teams
    • Creating quality control standards for each product and evaluating products to confirm they meet company standards and brand values
    • Working to create and balance identity rules with creative opportunities to elevate the brand through visual storytelling
    • Providing unique insight into relevant market trends with a point of view on the commercial viability of styles from a consumer-focused perspective
    • Working cross-functionally across all teams and departments while maintaining a professional and positive attitude with internal and external clients

    What You'll Bring

    • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
    • A portfolio of previous work required
    • A strong skill set and knowledge of apparel design, textile properties, sizing, grading, and construction techniques
    • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and an awareness of the latest creative software programs, techniques, and applications. Experience with 3D software is a plus.
    • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management systems
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills both internally and externally
    • Must be results-focused and highly detail-oriented
    • Demonstrate a professional and positive attitude with internal and external clients, open to new ideas and differing opinions
    • Must have strong organizational skills to troubleshoot and manage multiple projects
    • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure and deliver projects under tight deadlines
    • Familiarity with product manufacturing processes including materials/fabrics; plastics; pigments
    • Comfortable working in a dynamic and collaborative environment with constructive feedback and input
