Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 22 months of Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience.

• Travel experience is required from any number of months.

• Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred from any number of months

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Ardent Health.

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

All RNs (all specialties) must have NIHSS & EHAC within last 12 months. Certs can be obtained during onboarding.

Required Skills/Experience: Skills: Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Cardiovascular, IV therapy, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Continuous IV sedation, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, IV insulin protocols, GI surgery, Chronic/Acute Renal failure, CVVHD/CRRT, Assist with management of BiPAP, Assist with management of CPAP, Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Suctioning (ETT, NT), Ventilator Management, Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Phlebotomy, Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience. Teaching Hospital Experience. Community Hospital Experience. LTAC Experience. Skills: Neuro Intensive Care Unit, ECMO, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Post Cardiac Surgery (directly from the OR), Post Cardiac Surgery (Not directly from the OR), Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Sheath Removal, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Accessing/Managing Ports, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drain (EVD), ICP monitoring, Post Neurosurgery management, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury, Chemotherapy Administration.

Required Credentials: ID: Drivers License/State ID, Government-Issued Photo ID. Cert: ACLS, PALS, BLS - AHA, RQI, ARC, or American Safety and Health Institute

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend coverage: 6 shifts per 6 week period.

Floating Requirements: To units of equal or lesser acuity.
