- Develop, implement, and continuously improve environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations as well as industry best practices.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate workplace accidents, injuries, and environmental incidents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety and environmental considerations into manufacturing processes, equipment design, and facility layout.
- Provide leadership and guidance to employees at all levels to promote a proactive approach to safety and environmental compliance.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs on safety procedures, emergency response protocols, hazardous material handling, and other relevant topics.
- Monitor and analyze safety and environmental performance metrics to track progress, identify trends, and implement targeted interventions for continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, conducting inspections, responding to inquiries, and ensuring timely reporting of all required documentation.
- Lead investigations into workplace incidents, near misses, and environmental spills, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Manage the procurement, maintenance, and calibration of safety equipment, personal protective gear, and environmental monitoring devices.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, regulations, and technologies in the field of environmental, health, and safety, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance our programs and practices.
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of success in developing and implementing EHS programs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, and other relevant environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks, analyze data, and develop effective solutions to complex problems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, with a track record of effectively leading teams and driving change in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in EHS management software applications.
