    Opportunity:

    Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology

    Job Details:


    • Work 5x8 schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

    • One night call per week and one weekend per month

    • Call hours are 5:30 PM to 6:30 AM Monday-Friday and 24 hours Saturday-Sunday

    • 13-week assignment duration

    • Daily caseload of 15-18 patients

    • Work with 4 rooms plus PET/CT

    • Treat patients of all ages from adolescents to geriatrics

    • Prepare, administer, and measure radioactive isotopes in therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies

    • Prepare stock solutions of radioactive materials and calculate doses

    • Perform general nuclear medicine studies including bones, renals, gastric emptying, GI bleeds, HIDAs, thyroid uptake/scan, parathyroids, VQ perfusions, cardiac and EPT/CT

    • Must have IV start skills, phlebotomy, EKG experience, and PACS proficiency

    • Required experience with cardiac, bone scan, brain scan, lung scan, renal flow, thyroid studies, SPECT, and myocardial procedures

    • Must have minimum 2 years nuclear medicine technician experience with ability to work independently

    • Required certifications: BLS, NMTCB (ARRT preferred)

    • Must have active Virginia license or proof of application with current license from another state

    • Must complete Epic Radiology CT online training on unit

    • Required to wear pewter grey scrubs

    • Must attend Epic class (accelerated or 2-day) unless returning within past 6 months

    • Up to 7 hours of non-billable modules required during orientation

    • Travel experience required with seasoned travelers preferred

    Adex Job ID # Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
