Childcare Assistant Teacher
Lakeside Girls Academy Childcare Program is seeking a dedicated and responsible Childcare Assistant Teacher to join our team. This vital role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young children. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants and toddlers in the daycare setting
- Support the lead teacher in implementing educational activities and daily routines
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students regarding transportation schedules and any concerns
- Adhere to all licensing, safety, and health regulations related to childcare
- Transportation of children in company van when needed
Skills and Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with young children in a childcare setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, reliability, and a caring attitude
- Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday (7:45 am - 4:00 pm) aligned with the school year (10 months)
- Knowledge of safety procedures and child development principles is a plus
- Must pass background checks and any required licensing or certification requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate a van safely and responsibly

Requirements
Experience/Requirements: Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred, one-year related experience, minimum high school diploma or GED, great work ethic and are dependable, kind, caring, nurturing, cheerful and have a natural love for children. Current PA Criminal, FBI and Childline clearances are required (at Lakeside's expense) as well as a signed Physician's Affidavit. Must have a valid PA Driver's License and good driving record.
Salary Description
Starting salary $30,000
