    Description
    We are seeking an *Emergency Medicine Residency Program Director* for our established ACGME accredited program in *Salem, Virginia*.
    *Our emergency medicine residency program started in 2019

    • Full complement of 24 residents
    *Clinical teaching and supervision of residents

    • GME research/scholarly activity
    • Resident evaluation/mentoring
    • The program director will oversee the success and maintenance of certification of the program in compliance with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements and the policies and procedures of the sponsoring institution.
    Report directly to the regional medical director and hospital CEO.
    *LewisGale Medical Center is a fully accredited, 506-bed acute care facility

    • Two free-standing EDs in addition to the main medical center

    Board certified *in emergency medicine

    • 3+ years of teaching and/or administrative experience
    • Ongoing involvement in scholarly activity, including peer-reviewed publications
    • Strong administrative and team building skills
