    TITLE OF POSITION: Associate Director of Athletics / External Relations, Athletic Marketing and Senior Woman Administrator

    DEPARTMENT: Athletics

    POSITION REPORTS TO: Director of Intercollegiate Athletics

    SALARY RANGE: $75,000-$80,000

    OVERVIEW:

    Manhattan College, an NCAA Division I institution and member of the Metro-Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), is seeking a qualified candidate for a 12-month, full time position of Associate Director of Athletics/External Relations and Athletics Marketing for the college's 18 varsity sports. The position will report to the Director of Athletics and be responsible for the overall leadership and supervision of external operations with special emphasis on the integration of athletics communication, marketing and promotions, ticketing and overall brand development. As a member of the department's leadership team, the selected candidate will have oversight of marketing, revenue generation, media relations, communications, multimedia and broadcast and the strategic development and execution of the initiatives in these areas. The candidate will also serve as the sport and represent the department as the Senior Woman Administrator at conference and national meetings.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop and execute a strategy to effectively brand and promote 18 Division I sports and provide community-building and in-game experiences at home contests.
    • Serve as liaison to the departments of Alumni Engagement and Student Life.
    • Leading and coordinating all Jasper athletics external units which include communications, marketing, and promotions, advancement, creative content, social media, ticket sales, and sponsorships with a focus on executing our strategic plan.
    • Manage multiple direct reports within the department.
    • Develop a comprehensive departmental communications strategy, including sports information functions, use of social media, digital media and creative content.
    • Oversee the production of a dynamic and engaging fan experience and game production for all at-home contests and maximize attendance at all games.
    • Collaborate with sports communications to plan and manage all streaming and broadcast initiatives for ESPN productions.
    • Director of all on-court and on-field recognitions, anniversaries and celebrations.
    • Enhance existing ticket packets with a creative approach for individual, group, mini and community packages and prioritize that we strive to provide an outstanding student-athlete experience.
    • Develop and implement community and campus outreach programs for games and events.
    • Collaborate with staff on annual season ticket plan for basketball programs.
    • Collaborate with athletic academic staff on existing programs such as the Jasper Bridge Program, JASPYS, Basketball Previews, Spirit Groups and Jasper TV Network.
    • Manage the internal day-to-day operations of the Jasper Club which serves as the department's annual athletic fund.
    • Design fundraising platforms and activities for each varsity sport program and collaborate with sport administrators to implement.
    • Serve as the point person in the Athletic Department for Title IX and collaborate with the DEI committee..
    • Understand and adhere to all College, conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
    • Willingness to accept other duties as assigned.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree in related area preferred.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of full-time prior experience at the Division I level.
    • Assertive, outgoing, hard-working and resourceful.
    • Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships and create partnerships with a wide range of constituent groups.
    • Ability to design marketing materials; proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Adobe Photoshop preferred.
    • Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
    • Possess a valid driver's license.
    • Required to travel and the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong attention to detail and keep specific timelines.
    • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to problem solve.
    • Ability to work effectively with coaches, faculty, administration, alumni and community.
