    About the Role:

    The Human Resources Director supports the General Manager in cultivating a culture of optimism, respect, professionalism, service excellence, and collaboration.

    Responsibilities:
    • Oversees the implementation and execution of Human Resources policies and procedures
    • Assists in the preparation of the annual budget; monitors human resource budget items
    • Oversees employee benefit and payroll processing
    • Oversees the employee lifecycle to include application, selection, new employee set-up and orientation, payroll, leave of absence, discipline, resignation, and termination
    • Assists in the fostering and administration of diversity and inclusion and employment opportunity programs
    • Handles compensation matters including job evaluations, job description creation and review, and ensures competitive internal/external position by collecting and analyzing pay data
    • Assists in recommendations related to performance management, behavioral issues, corrective actions, policy interpretations, terminations to minimize legal exposure; ensures employment actions are documented appropriately documented and consistent with policies and laws
    • Assists the Regional Human Resource Director with legal responses to minimize unfavorable determinations and related expenses when applicable
    • Coaches and mentors assigned staff; assigns work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs; assesses performance and provides feedback to direct reports.
    • Maintains confidentiality of all information
    • Other duties as required.
    Education, Licensing, and Certifications:

    Education: Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or related business field required.

    Experience:

    Seven to ten years of relevant human resources experience, including three to five years of human resource generalist experience, required

    Skills and Knowledge Required:
    • Comprehensive knowledge of human resource rules and regulations at the federal and state level
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Knowledge of ADP system and payroll rules and regulations
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to work well with labor.
    Skills and Knowledge Preferred:
    • Travel requirement outside of immediate area (as a percent) <10%
    Pre-Employment Requirements:

    • Testing related to job requirements
    Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
    • 100% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well ventilated facilities
    • Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.
    • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
