    Electric Materials is looking for a Production Control Manager

    Job Summary:


    Develops and implements production control functions and is responsible for capacity planning, master scheduling, workcenter scheduling and coordination, work order/traveler dispatch, inventory planning and control (raw, EIP & FG), material and labor variance controls, and manufacturing performance reporting.

    This position is a key part of the site leadership team.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


    Apply advanced knowledge of materials, production planning and supply chain management as well as draw upon substantial experience to identify and/or solve highly complex business problems.

    Drive plant productivity by effective scheduling and optimizing manufacturing capacity using data-based capacity planning.
    Develop and maintain the site Sales & Operations Plan and Master Schedules in support of business and customer needs. Work with Operations leadership to manage Lead Times.
    Develop and track KPI's.

    Collect and analyze data to evaluate performance to identify and implement improvement actions and initiatives.
    Contribute to the development of strategic plans within the primary functional areas.

    Implement or assist in the implementation of strategic plans developed for the plants functional areas.

    SKILLS/TASKS:
    Develop and maintain the master schedule and daily production plans.

    Ensure production plans are in alignment with and support customer needs.
    Directly manage the site's logistics and planning functions to implement production schedules by area.

    Provide analysis and analytical tools for manufacturing in order to execute schedules and optimize inventory.
    Develop strategic plans that supplement and enable senior leadership's plant and business goals.
    Implement world-class systems and tools in production planning, inventory control, materials management, warehouse management, and material distribution.

    Actively reduce inventory through advanced analytics while maintaining customer service in a complex and dynamic production environment consisting of CTO and PCB manufacturing.

    Ensure that production and inventory control practices are clear, followed and effective.

    Identify poor performing suppliers who exhibit quality or delivery problems and partner with Purchasing and other functions to drive improvement.

    Develop goals/targets for all direct reports and regularly provide feedback on progress towards those goals.
    Provide data and analytics to drive improvements in lot sizes and lead times.
    Manage cycle count / inventory accuracy programs with finance.

    Provide analysis of root cause of errors and initiate corrective action.
    Work with Finance and Operations to review, reserve and disposition excess and obsolete inventory.
    Develop inventory plans in support of the site's turns goal.
    Lead and conduct physical inventory where and when required.
    Manage site planning and procurement team.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    Bachelor's Degree in Operations/Materials/or Supply Chain Management.
    ERP system functionality and parameters required.

    Plex ERP experience
    Leadership experience within a production/inventory control environment required.
    Experience across APICS SCOR Model (Make, Source, Plan, Deliver) is required.
    Minimum 5 years' experience in Materials or Operations Management.
    APICS or CSCP certification is preferred.
    Prior experience with Plex ERP is extremely desirable.
