Our NYC Eyecare team at MOSCOT is looking to hire a Full Time New York State Licensed Optometrist. We are a completely private-pay practice and the optical shop carries only our own MOSCOT-designed frames.We see mostly comprehensive eye exams and contact lens exams as well as some medical eye exams. Our technicians (patient coordinators) do all the prescreening, retinal imaging, and any medical testing for the doctor. Further medical testing such as OCT, VF and Optomap imaging is available for internal referral at one of our MOSCOT locations. Above all, we are looking for a friendly, personable, and experienced OD to join our team to provide this high-quality eye care. We value our ability to provide the best "MOSCOT experience" for our patients. You must love people and optometry
Please note, we are looking for someone to work on Saturdays. The hours are 10:30am - 6:00pm with 30-minute exams and one hour set aside for lunch & administrative time. Patients are scheduled to allow for a relaxed, unrushed, attentive, and comprehensive eye care experience.
Qualifications:
Licensed Optometrist in NY state
Knowledge in ophthalmic lens designs (e.g. progressives, office progressives)
Comfortable in fitting contact lenses (soft/RGP/specialty)
