CNC PROGRAMMER RESPONSIBILITIES:
(included, but not limited to)
Programming multiple types of CNC machines-CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, Wire EDM Machines
Generate CNC programs, setup sheets, and tool lists to support shop floor personnel
Knowledge of cutting tools, fixture design, and coolant requirements
Ensure all features and tolerances of machined parts are realized
Analyze drawings and models for pertinent data and concerns
Provide support and resolve technical problems as they arise
Use various inspection and measurement tools to validate your work
Maintain program library
Work as a team by openly collaborating with engineers and fellow team members
Ongoing self-training to increase personal effectiveness
REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE FOR THE CNC PROGRAMMER:
Mastery of CAD/CAM software (MasterCAM)
5 years' experience with complex fixture design, fabrication, and grooming
5 years' experience in programming and operating CNC mills and lathes, and Wire EDMs
5 years' experience with precision manufacturing techniques and maintaining tolerances down to +/ "
Reading and interpreting drawings, models, and other technical documents
Proficiency with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite
Fluent in English
Experience in Aerospace and Defense Industry –
preferred
Experience at an AS9100 certified job shop –
preferred
Experience with Mazak CNC Mills, Mitsubishi WEDM machines and Chevalier Grinders -preferred
