    We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team at Harbor View Creative Learning Center in Palm Harbor as a Floater/Breaker.

    Salary:

    $15.00 - $17.00 per hour based on education and experience, with ongoing pay raises for meeting program standards and expectations.

    Job Description:

    As a Floater/Breaker, you will be responsible for supporting classroom teachers during their breaks or vacations by implementing lesson plans, teaching children using various educational techniques, observing child development, and promoting social skills. You will also communicate with parents through the Tadpoles App, track progress, and collaborate with other educators.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist classrooms in implementing lesson plans while on break or vacation
    • Employ various educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children
    • Observe child development and encourage social skills
    • Resolve occasional arguments among children
    • Guide children's artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum
    • Track children's progress and report to parents through the Tadpoles App
    • Communicate with parents regularly to understand children's backgrounds and psyches
    • Collaborate with other educators
    • Clean and tidy classrooms when stepping in for teachers

    Desired Skills and Experience:

    • Experience working in a licensed childcare facility
    • 45 DCF Training Hours completed (within one year)
    • CDA preferred
    • Strong understanding of child development and preschool educational methods
    • Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
    • Excellent communication and instructional skills
    • Able to act as a mediator between children
    • Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable
    • Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain

    • All Employees will accrue Personal Time (PTO) at the rate of 3.8 hours earned for every 40 hours worked. PTO hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.
    • Sick Pay will be accrued at 2.6 hours for every 40 hours worked. A maximum of 48 hours will be applied to each employee's policy and paid out for absences due to illness each calendar year. Sick pay hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.
    • Holiday pay will be paid based on your individual average hours worked and be paid to each employee after their 60-day probationary period.
    • $100 monthly bonus for perfect attendance
