**Role Overview:**
An experienced Material Warehouse Manager will manage inventory and purchasing procedures of raw materials and other supplies used in our company. A successful Material Warehouse Manager will have experience in supply chain and inventory control. They have excellent organizational and record-keeping skills. Attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude are qualities the ideal candidate must possess.
**Responsibilities:**
Oversee distribution of supplies in the organization
Collaborate with internal departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective and efficient supply chain.
Maintains detailed inventories of all materials and supplies located in the company to optimize production
Request purchase orders for obtaining supplies and materials according to the specifications of company projects and the company purchasing policies
Control inventory levels and ensure availability of material during emergencies
Maintain physical counts and report monthly inventories
Identifies optimal shipping and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution
Coordinate warehousing procedures
Reconcile receiving deficiencies
Supervise, evaluate, and coach subordinates
Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency and profitability for the company
Assist in forecasting future orders based on cross-departmental collaboration
Assesses need for material-handling equipment; makes recommendations to Fleet Manager to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
Assists the Purchasing department as needed
Keep detailed records/audits on procurement activity, materials quantity, specifications etc.
Be precise in what you are talking about to avoid confusion
Be radically open-minded and own your outcomes
Other duties as assigned or needed
**Physical Requirements:**
Standing - 6 to 8 hours daily
Walking - 4 to 6 hours daily
Climbing - 0 to 2 hours daily
Bending/Twisting - 0 to 2 hours daily
Pushing/Pulling - 0 to 2 hours daily
Operating warehouse equipment and vehicles
Repetitive Motion (grasping, manipulation) - 0 to 2 hours daily
Lifting (weights up to 100 lbs.) - rarely
Lift & Carry (weights of 50 to 60 lbs.) occasionally
**Qualifications:**
Minimum High School diploma or equivalent; BSc/BA in logistics or relevant field preferred
Minimum 3-5 years experience in a material management role. Telecom industry experience is a plus.
OHSA Forklift Operator certification a plus
Experienced in shipping, receiving, distribution, cycle counting and audits of material
Experienced in operating warehouse equipment (forklift, aerial lift device, etc)
Extensive experience with supply chain and inventory management systems
Experience in demand forecasting and budgeting
Understanding of warehouse flow inclusive of sorting, setting order, standardizing and sustaining discipline in inventory processes.
Ability to multi-task several administrative deliverables with initiative and self motivation
Ability to act with a sense of urgency on customer and business priorities
Driven to close the loop and complete work-steps by effectively following up with team on deliverables
Organized and capable of prioritizing work to deliver results with attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent time management and communication skills
Comfortable interacting with customers in a friendly and professional manner
Proficient in the use of office hardware and software. (PCs, Tablets, Printers, Copiers, Microsoft, etc)
Google apps (calendar, drive, maps, sheets,docs, slides,etc) preferred
Excellent Customer Service skills and strong English language skills both oral and written.
Excellent manual dexterity
Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.
