- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
- Master's degree preferred
- BS/BSN required.
- If BS degree not in nursing, a Master's or higher degree in Nursing is required.
- Demonstrated competence as a Professional Staff Nurse.
- The individual must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and/or interact appropriately to the ages of the patients served by his/her assigned unit as specified below.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age-specific needs and to provide the care needs as described in the department policy and procedures.

About 5B Renal, Pulmonary, and Medicine:
5B is a 33-bed medical-surgical unit that provides 24-hour continuous cardiac telemetry care to adult and geriatric patients ages 18 and over.
The 5B team provides outstanding patient care to patients with complex acute and chronic medical conditions, including, but not limited to:CHF, COPD, Pneumonia, Sepsis, and Peritoneal Dialysis. Peritoneal Dialysis is a subspecialty expertise of the unit, which supports the entire hospital.
The unit is built on a culture of inclusion and collaboration.
We utilize a multidisciplinary approach to patient care that encourages teamwork between physicians, nursing staff, PT/OT, social work, and a variety of other consulting disciplines to provide the most comprehensive care for our patients.

The Clinician is a nurse leader who has direct responsibility in the achievement of a culture of excellence and patient care.
Under the general direction of the Unit Director or other department manager, the Clinician will complete and deliver employee evaluations, conduct selection and hiring of staff, and manage the daily performance for a group of direct reports.
The Clinician is responsible for providing service-based education and clinical expertise for staff including orientation and training, consultation on practice issues, and general coordination of clinical activities.
Additionally, the Clinician may have shift accountability for delivering nursing care when needed.Responsibilities:
