    Job Summary

    We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Specialist - Child and Family Services to join our team at the Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network.

    About the Role

    This is a dynamic opportunity to work with children, ages 6-21, who have serious emotional and behavioral health needs, their parents/caregivers, and families. As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will be responsible for providing direct and indirect evidence-based therapeutic treatment services for children and families via office or telehealth settings.

    You will aid families in accessing needed resources, provide referrals as needed, and support families with follow-up services. Your duties will also include conducting assessments and developing treatment plans using a person-centered, solution-focused approach.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide Direct and Indirect Therapeutic Treatment Services: Offer individual, group, conjoint, or family psychotherapy, case management, and support services to children and families.
    • Access Needed Resources: Assist families in accessing necessary resources and services to support their well-being.
    • Conduct Assessments and Develop Treatment Plans: Utilize a person-centered, solution-focused approach to conduct assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
    • Collaborate with Clinical Staff: Work collaboratively with clinical staff to manage and resolve crisis situations involving children and parents.

    Awarding Salary Range: $65,000-$85,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

    Requirements

    • Masters Degree from a recognized college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
    • Two Years of Professional Experience in a behavioral healthcare or mental health setting, including one year of full-time paid experience working with children and families.
    • Licensure: Valid State of Michigan clinical licensure: LMSW, LPC, LLP, or PhD. Limited License accepted.
