    Description

    Engineering Electrical Designer

    Full Time, Permanent Position. On-site.

    Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year. Annual bonus and Benefits package offered.

    Location: Spokane, WA or Charlotte, NC.

    Relocation packages available for out of state candidates.

    Our client operates in a niche market that provides overhaul and rehabilitation to hydro power plants. The work encompasses a wide range of repair, replacement, and improvement services to restore dependability and sustainability to hydro power facilities, or to increase capacity and/or efficiency.

    Projects range in size and scope, but routinely span from component assessment, design, and procurement to site installation and commissioning. Hydro power is recognized as the most economic form of renewable energy, and the company is committed to environmentally friendly concepts.

    Role responsibilities:

    Major responsibilities are listed but not limited to the following duties:

    · Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for electrical components using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment.

    · Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.

    · Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.

    · Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery, using computer-assisted equipment.

    · Position instructions and comments onto drawings.

    · Modify and revise designs.

    Skills/experience required include:

    · BSEE, or 5+ years electrical design experience.

    · Experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial design.

    · AutoCAD proficiency required.

    · Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NEMA, NETA, and other industry codes.

    · Able to read and interpret basic electrical and hydraulic schematic.
