    Overview:

    General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems produces high-quality, high performance gun systems for a broad spectrum of land, sea, and air applications. We are an industry leader in the development and production of single and multi-barrel gatling guns, individual crew-served weapons, ammunition handling systems, shipboard defense systems, gun pods and loaders.

    The Sr Manager, Procurement negotiates favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers and prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services and supplies for customer-related business processes or for internal use as a generalist or in a combination of Purchasing Disciplines.

    This position can be located in Williston, Vermont or Saco, Maine.

    Major Position Responsibilities:
    • Manages procurement and purchasing operations and implements the strategy to provide the materials and services to meet organizational requirements for quality, volume, availability, and pricing.
    • Maintains strategic supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, and implements systems for monitoring performance, assessing risk, and responding to changes in demand or disruptions in the supply chain.
    • Collaborates with other functions to define current and future inventory requirements and manage inventory levels.
    • Implements processes and systems and utilizes technical tools to analyze data and increase responsiveness to material demands.
    • Oversees auditing processes to ensure procurement and record-keeping comply with any applicable industry or governmental regulations.
    • Leads and manages the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & General Managers.
    Basic Qualifications:

    Required Education: Associates Degree or Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience

    Preferred Education: Master's Degree

    Discipline/Major: Business or Supply Chain Management preferred

    Years and Area of experience (required for the role): 7-8 years experience

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Leadership skills. Decision-making skills. Oral and written communication skills. Analytical thinking skills. Detail oriented. Ability to meet deadlines.

    Critical Professional Technical Skills; Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

    Travel Requirements: Less than 25% likely

    Pay Range (USD):
    $91, $169,000.00

    Additional Compensation:
    Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Companys Gain Sharing Program.
