Description
Master Plumber - Residential Projects
We are seeking a skilled Master Plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential properties. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing codes, regulations, and industry standards, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
* Install and configure plumbing systems, including piping, fixtures, and appliances
* Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, such as leaks, clogs, and malfunctioning fixtures
* Conduct routine maintenance to prevent future problems and ensure optimal performance of plumbing systems
* Inspect plumbing systems to identify problems and assess their condition
* Conduct pressure tests, leak checks, and other diagnostic procedures to ensure the integrity and functionality of plumbing installations
* Ensure all plumbing work complies with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
* Obtain necessary permits and approvals for plumbing projects as required by local authorities
* Troubleshoot plumbing problems reported by homeowners or property managers
* Provide expert advice and recommendations for resolving issues efficiently and cost-effectively
* Interact with homeowners, tenants, and property managers in a professional and courteous manner
* Address their concerns promptly and effectively, and strive to exceed their expectations for quality and service
* Supervise and mentor apprentice plumbers or other plumbing staff as needed
* Maintain accurate records of plumbing work performed, including installation details, repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities
* Prepare reports and documentation for clients, regulatory agencies, and internal records
* Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies, such as burst pipes or sewage backups, to minimize property damage and inconvenience to residents
Requirements:
* Valid master plumber license issued by the appropriate regulatory authority
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Additional vocational training or certification in plumbing is a plus
* Ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in plumbing technology and practices
* Extensive experience in residential plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance
* Thorough knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and industry standards
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team
* Physical fitness and manual dexterity for performing plumbing tasks
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
* Clean driving record
