    Job Overview
    • Leads the Aquatics Unit in the Division of Animal Resources (DAR) by overseeing the daily care of all aquatic species, managing water chemistry, live feed cultures, and aquatic systems.
    • Communicates with vendors and university servicers to ensure proper service, maintenance, and repairs of equipment.
    • Manages inventory, supplies, and activity logs for efficient operations.
    • Guides new projects and study designs, provides essential information to faculty researchers working with aquatic species.
    • Oversees quality control programs related to lab tests, equipment, and supplies, including import/quarantine procedures.
    • Conducts staff training, maintains a high level of service, and manages personnel effectively.
    • Collaborates with other DAR units for quality assurance and manages clinical cases.
    • Responsible for unit SOP development, maintaining core websites, and implementing fish management software systems.
    • Participates in strategic planning for equipment and services, projecting staffing needs, and service volumes.
    • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of professional experience, with management experience in aquatics systems.

    Note: This position requires in-person work at an Emory University location; remote work is not possible.
