    Description
    Duties * You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration.

    * You will formulate budget and estimates to support plans, programs and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities.

    * You will analyst and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations.

    * You will perform a variety of fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties and responsibilities. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Must be a US Citizen. * Must be determined suitable for federal employment. * Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

    * This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.

    Qualifications For GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.


    Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

    • Extensive experience utilizing comprehensive, budgetary policies, precedents, procedures, and regulations.
    • Extensive experience utilizing policies, precedents, goals, objectives, regulations, and guidelines of a functional area.
    • Extensive experience utilizing administrative and financial management systems.
    • Experience identifying, analyzing and resolving a range of budgetary problems such as development of alternative methods of funding; formulation of budget estimates for programs in which funding requirements have changed significantly.
    • Extensive experience utilizing analytical reasoning while identifying, analyzing and conceptualizing budgetary problems and developing alternative solutions, is required.
    • This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction For GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
