Pediatric Pulmonologist, Sleep Medicine - M60189
The Division of Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at the Childrens Hospital of Richmond at VCU is seeking an individual at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor rank to join our team. Candidates should be eager to join and augment a superior academic pulmonary and sleep division that provides clinical coverage within a Pediatric Medical Center that is undergoing significant dynamic growth with a new outpatient clinic building, a new 6-bed pediatric sleep lab, and a new inpatient hospital that will be completed in 2022. The Division has active externally funded bench, translational, clinical, and epidemiological research and Quality Improvement programs. We have a high functioning CF center (part of the CF Foundation Therapeutic Development Network, Success with Therapies Research Consortium, and CF Learning Network), an externally funded community asthma program, and participate in multidisciplinary aero digestive, sleep, muscular dystrophy, and sickle cell programs. Preference will be given to applicants with sleep credentials and/or a clinical or scholarly portfolio to complement and expand existing expertise at Childrens Hospital of Richmond. Sleep-certified physicians would be given up to 50% time for sleep. Candidates must be Pulmonary board eligible / certified. Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU is required.
