    Job Overview:

    A law firm dedicated to immigrants' rights and civil rights seeks a highly motivated and skilled Removal Defense Immigration Attorney.

    This hybrid role offers an opportunity to work on impactful cases while collaborating with a team of experienced attorneys and staff.

    Duties

    • Manage a caseload that includes removal defense, federal court litigation, asylum, family-based immigration, naturalization, and other immigration matters.
    • Appear in various legal forums, including Immigration Courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, USCIS, ICE, CBP, and federal courts.
    • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff on complex immigration cases and litigation.
    • Engage in pro bono litigation and advocacy efforts to advance immigrants' rights.
    • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare legal briefs.
    • Represent clients in both district and appellate courts, advocating for favorable outcomes.
    • Work on cases involving the intersection of criminal and immigration law.
    • Maintain regular in-person collaboration with colleagues in a hybrid work environment.

    Requirements

    • 2-5 years of experience as an immigration attorney.
    • Strong legal research, writing, and organizational skills.
    • Bilingual ability required (Spanish strongly preferred; other languages considered).
    • Interest in working in a fast-paced, energetic environment focused on immigrant rights and civil rights advocacy.
    • Admission to a State Bar (California preferred).
