    Description

    UPMC Central PA is seeking an academically inclined Internist for 64 medical residents.#Currently, we have 46 categorical residents and 18 medical residents in our osteopathic recognition track.

    Opportunity:
    Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities of precepting and teaching residents in both the hospital and a continuity clinic.

    Daily inpatient census of 16 Resident to Faculty ratio: 4-1 (outpatient) Work with students from Penn State University and Drexel University Pursuit of personal academic interests Clinical-faculty appointment offered at Penn State/Hershey and Drexel University Monday-Friday day shift hours Mentorship opportunities of residents available Back up call to Residents from home only Admin expectations for CORE faculty # research, interviews, board prep, lectures, mentorship

    Desired Candidate:
    Must have a strong interest in clinical education Board Certified in Internal Medicine Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients Team-oriented with the ability to provide personalized patient care and demonstrate clinical outcomes
