    Workrise is hiring a Senior Manager, Accounting to be responsible and lead the corporate accounting team including owning their career learning and growth.

    The role includes managing the close process and internal control environment for the Workrise group and its subsidiaries and being the main accounting partner for the financial operations teams, FP&A, and other cross-functional leaders within the Company.

    Workrise is looking for ways to improve efficiency.

    This role will be responsible for driving forward and delivering these efficiencies through technology, process reengineering and improvement, enhanced reporting, and collaboration across business functions.

    The successful candidate will be a seasoned manager, with outstanding problem-solving and people and team management skills. The position oversees the accounting team and reports to the Corporate Controller. This role will be hybrid and is required to work from our downtown Austin office three days per week.

    Manage the overall month-end close functions for the Workrise group including the operational subsidiaries and corporate.

    Lead the development of monthly close reviews in collaboration with cross-functional teamsSupervise the Accounting team which includes review of close work and month-end analysisLead responsible contact to deliver timely, accurate, and complete financial statements close, while providing insights into results to stakeholders across the company.

    Review and manage completion of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis for all related entities and accountsIdentify and execute team efficiencies and improvements to the close process through automation, standardization, and collaboration with supporting teamsSupport internal and external audits and serve as a contact in the audit processWork cross-functionally with other groups and serve as their accounting partner, including FP&A, Sales, and Operational leadersResearch accounting issues for compliance with GAAP as neededProvide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the accounting team including setting clear goals and expectations for team members, conducting performance evaluations, and providing feedbackFoster a collaborative and supportive work environment to maximize team productivity and morale.

    Identify training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the accounting team.


    Experience and Education Requirements:
    7+ years of relevant experience in the field of Accounting, including period close and audit experience3+ years of people management including team management and developmentCertified Public AccountantBachelor's degree in AccountingProficiency in financial software and ERP systemsAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environmentAdditional experience preferred, but not required:Netsuite experienceExperience in working with operational teams is highly preferable
