    Description

    Network Technician

     Assist and organize with trouble/issues via phone, email, and text, as well as provide resolution to all issues, as necessary.

     Troubleshoot end-user desktop issues related to networking and phone issues.

     Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues create documentation for resolutions

     Configure and troubleshoot network connections for desktops, network equipment, and VOIP telephones.

     Have a basic understanding of WiFi networks and related wireless devices

     Have a basic understanding of network wiring.

     Assist with the creation of network infrastructure (pull needed wiring and cables, install cabinets and enclosures, terminate fiber, terminate CAT5/CAT6 cabling)

     Install basic network equipment (switches, routers, wireless equipment) not including configuration of software.

     Keep track of inventory and submit orders for restock

     Be able to work nights and weekends. Be on-call as needed.

     Be able to walk or stand for long periods of time

     Be able to obtain a Class D Commercial Drivers license

     Be comfortable operating machinery

    Qualifications:

     Associate's Degree in a computer related field or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience

     Must have a reliable method of transportation and the ability to travel as necessary

     Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and typing)

     Comfortable with use of hand tools (Drills, Screwdrivers, etc)

     Task Oriented with ability to complete projects with little to no supervision.

     Ability to work in all types of environmental conditions (hot/cold, indoor/outdoor)

    Preferred Qualifications:

     Ability to identify needed action without continual direction.

     Must model the highest degree of moral and ethical behavior

     Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to maintain an excellent working relationship with co-workers.

     Avid interest in technology and expanding knowledge base to stay on top of industry technology trends.

     Ability to explain and document procedures verbally and in writing.

     Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.

     Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

     Dependable, punctual, and solutions oriented and flexibility in the work schedule is required.
