Security Analyst

*Shift:* 1st shift, Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
*Location:

Onsite in Erlanger, KY

*Pay:* $85 - $105 per hour *Position Summary: As a Security Analyst, you will be a vital member of our Security Engineering team, tasked with safeguarding our information systems from unauthorized access or destruction. *Job Responsibilities:

Review firewall and proxy requests with minimal supervision, ensuring they align with current security best practices and policies.
Assess business and technical requests, evaluate associated risks, and implement effective security mitigations or provide remediation requirements.
Represent the Global Information and Cyber Security (GICS) function in change and incident processes, ensuring conformity to security best practices and policies.
Develop and refine processes and procedures for global firewall and proxy change requests.
Document and process requests and incidents using the ticketing system involving GICS.
Use existing tools and procedures to verify compliance of IT infrastructure and applications with IT policies, guiding system administrators as needed.
Communicate the impact and requirements of IT assets regarding requests and involve senior team members for approval recommendations when necessary.
Support the Vulnerability Remediation program, including interfacing with the Attack Surface Management team for assessments and audits, coordinating remediation efforts, and monitoring metrics and performance indicators.
Assist with overall GICS functions as directed.
Demonstrate enthusiasm and interest in IT security. Other Specific Job Tasks:
ITSM – Service and Incident Request tasks:
Vulnerability item reviews
User account lockouts
New software requests – software sandboxing
Network security – new and change (firewall, proxy)
Participate in risk reviews and provide security recommendations during the Change Review process for GICS requests.
Perform application vetting (Business and OT). Job Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in Information Security.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Information Technology.
Functional experience in ITIL processes.
Functional experience with Service Desk platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, SOC module).
Ability to exceed Service Level Objectives and Agreements with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
Effective communication and collaboration skills within a geographically and culturally diverse team.
Willingness to work occasional nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
On-call duties with the ability to respond to critical incidents 24/7.
Strong sense of professionalism and ethics.
