    Surgical Technologist I
    Company: Exciting opportunity to join a dynamic healthcare team at Excela Health


    The Surgical Technologist I plays a crucial role in assisting with surgical procedures in the Operating Room as a key member of the surgical team working closely with a registered nurse and a surgeon.


    Essential Job Functions:

    • Delivers direct and indirect patient care following hospital/departmental protocols
    • Collaborates with the RN to develop personalized care plans
    • Maintains accurate documentation
    • Builds strong relationships with healthcare providers
    • Participates in performance improvement activities
    • Demonstrates leadership skills and problem-solving abilities
    • Acts as a resource person, patient advocate, and preceptor/mentor
    • Ensures patient safety and compliance with regulations
    • Performs scrub duties and assists in surgical procedures
    • Contributes to maintaining department costs and compliance
    • Follows principles of asepsis and ensures patient safety

    Required Qualifications:

    • Completion of a surgical technology program
    • Strong leadership, organizational, and critical thinking skills
    • Effective communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 1-3 years of surgical scrub experience

    License, Certification & Clearances:

    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Act 33, Act 34, Act 73 FBI Clearance, Act 81 Compliance
    • CST Certification preferred

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    This position offers mentorship opportunities within the department.
