At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time; others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days), and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you'll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or offsites.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands

In this role, you play a critical role in driving the company's technology strategy by leading the development of new and existing products, architecture designs, processes, and systems. You will also be responsible for mentoring and coaching engineers, creating, and continuously improving engineering processes, and working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results. You will also have the opportunity to lead the development of our next generation infrastructure and join forces with AWS to pioneer the most advanced services, including the next generation of AI search platform. What you'll get to do...

• Designing and expanding search & machine learning services and platforming it.
• Partner with teams across the company on applications that require AI search capability such as conversational search.
• Architect and design highly available, scalable, and secure services
• Provide engineering guidance to your team and other engineers on building secure and reliable services.
• Collaborate on a high-impact, mission-driven Scrum team.
• Participate in DevOps, release, and on-call activities in support of your code.
• Monitor and measure engineering and operational metrics, and identify and drive process and quality improvements.
• Contribute to technology working groups and internal open source.
• Coach and mentor your team, provide technical training, and promote best practices.

Your experience should include...

• 8+ years of experience in developing and deploying production software.
• Experience with technical direction, roadmap, and architect of the AI and Data platforms/systems.
• Proficiency in Java or Golang and Python programming languages
• Experience with building APIs - RESTful APIs, Web Services with a strong understanding of Microservices architecture.
• Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and standard methodologies. E.g. Cloud Formation or similar.
• Experience with CI/CD, testing, and monitoring.
• Strong drive to learn, grow, and help engineers to do the same.

You might also have...

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical degree, with excellent computer science fundamentals.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Large Language Models, Generative AI, Langchain, Transformer models or related.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters for AI/ML platform deployment, including cluster setup, application monitoring, and maintenance.
• Good understanding of end-to-end machine learning services, tooling/systems
• Expertise in operationalizing, monitoring, and scaling machine learning models and pipelines in cloud ecosystems
• Experience with search technology.
• Experience with entitlement and IAM policy.
• Experience in A/B testing platforms.
• Experience in an Agile software development environment.
