    Description

    Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic agricultural company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, with specific experience in the agricultural industry. This role will play a critical part in providing strategic financial insights and supporting decision-making processes within the organization.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to support decision-making and drive business performance.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
    • Analyze financial data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Provide insightful commentary and recommendations based on financial analysis results.
    • Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and achievable budgets.
    • Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
    • Monitor budget performance against actual results and provide variance analysis and explanations.
    • Identify risks and opportunities in the financial forecast and collaborate with management to develop strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
    • Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic initiatives and business planning processes.
    • Evaluate the financial impact of potential investments, projects, and business opportunities.
    • Participate in cross-functional teams to assess the financial feasibility of new products, markets, or ventures.
    • Support decision-making by providing accurate and timely financial information and analysis to stakeholders.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal financial policies and procedures.
    • Implement and maintain effective financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial reporting.
    • Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, planning, and reporting, preferably in the agricultural industry.
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw actionable insights.
    • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and financial reporting systems.
    • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
    • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial planning software is a plus.
    • Knowledge of agricultural operations, markets, and trends is preferred.
