    Job Description

  • Leadership and People Responsibilities: Oversee the hiring and training of new and existing staff, conduct performance reviews and provide leadership, technical guidance and coaching to staff. Build organizational talent by creating a learning environment that ensures employees realize their highest potential

  • Build and lead a lean team proficient in computational statistics, BI Visualization and UX Design

  • Develop strategies to leverage relevant Procurement data and build through the delivery of easy to use reports and dashboards, sophisticated data analysis and advanced data modelling

  • Implement Agile model and ensure successful delivery of Data Products and Use Cases while serving as the product manager for a cluster of analytical capabilities

  • Manage portfolio of business intelligence projects to ensure on-time delivery

  • Design, build and optimize data visualizations tools to provide actionable insights that enhance business decision making

  • Implement data governance framework and data management practices to ensure data quality for all Procurement-related data. Collaborate with Finance and BTS partners as necessary

  • Lead and develop a Procurement-wide approach to digitizing data science models and solutions, advanced analytics and data visualization

  • Ensure deployment of analytics in accordance with industry leading practices for UX design, data processing efficiency and advanced statistical modeling

  • Manage production of complex ad-hoc reporting and automate as necessary

  • Benchmark and evaluate business intelligence best practices and solutions related data visualization and data mining that will be sustainable and fit our AbbVie environment

    Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree required; degrees in Data Science, Econometrics, Mathematics, Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred

  • 10+ years experience in deploying analytics platforms and building advanced analytics algorithms

  • 7+ years experience in a Business Intelligence environment with proven proficiency in tools such as Qlik, Power BI, Python, R, SAP Business Objects, SAP Business Warehouse, Informatica and others preferred

  • Solid understanding of key BI trends and emerging technologies such as Hadoop, NoSQL

  • Experience managing large and complex BI projects across multiple business functions

  • Experience reviewing and streamlining business processes, including gathering and documenting business requirements, developing and implementing new processes and procedures. Experienced with Agile methodology and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies

  • Ability to communicate problems in terms that are understandable to end users at all levels

  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills

  • Knowledge of Pharmaceutical industry & validation environment

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams towards task completion
