    Description

    Our client is a high-growth insurance business, and they are looking for a VP of Infrastructure who is ready to embrace challenges and drive the company forward. You will be part of a forward-thinking team that's transforming the insurance landscape.

    This is a hands-on role where you will lead technical operations across various domains, including IT support, helpdesk, service management, virtualization, M365, networking, servers, procurement, and IT security. This pivotal role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels in managing complex, multi-location operations. You should possess a service-oriented mindset and the agility to navigate and resolve ambiguity effectively.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Technical Operations Leadership: Oversee all aspects of IT support, helpdesk, service management, virtualization, M365, procurement, networking, servers, and security to ensure seamless operations across multiple locations.
    • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement infrastructure strategies that align with the company's growth objectives and technological advancements.
    • Hands-On Management: Engage directly in day-to-day technical operations, providing guidance and support to the IT team to resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
    • Service Orientation: Foster a service-oriented culture, ensuring that all technical services meet or exceed the expectations of internal and external stakeholders.
    • Team Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing team of IT professionals, encouraging continuous learning and professional development.
    • Procurement and Vendor Management: Oversee procurement processes and manage relationships with vendors to secure the best services and products at competitive prices.
    • Security Oversight: Ensure robust security measures are in place to protect the company's data and infrastructure from potential threats.
    • Adaptability and Problem Solving: Navigate and resolve ambiguous situations with a calm and pragmatic approach, maintaining operational stability.

    This is a remote position, although you will be required to travel to office sites from time to time, and our client has a preference for candidates located in and around Chicago.
