    /lili- 7+ years of experience as a Lead/Foreman working in Industrial/manufacturing environments./liliData Cable Technician with CAT6 cabling, fiber optic, 24v, and 70v paging systems experience./liliKnowledge and experience with CCTV, Fire, Security Systems, and Alarm Systems is a plus./liliExperience installing Audio/Visual, Point-of
    • Sale systems, TV/monitor, or media players is a plus.
    /liliIndustry-specific certifications are a huge plus (BICSI, NEC, TIA/EIA).

    Please list certifications if any./liliFiber optic training and certifications, highly desired (ATT, BICSI, CISCO, Corning, CNET, ETA, FOA, VERIZON)./liliAvailable and willing for extensive travel nationwide./liliDuration of each project lasts 1-6 months.

    Once completed, you would move on to the next project location./liliFlexible and willing to work on-call, day, night, or weekend shifts as the jobs require./liliA typical work week will average 50-60 hours a week, depending on job site requirements and deadlines./liliExperience reading blueprints and site maps./liliExperience in conduit installation is a plus./liliKnowledgeable in multiple termination types for multi-mode and single-mode fibers./liliKnowledgeable in closeouts and MDFs/IDF/MCIC./liliAbility to work in cramped spaces./liliAbility to operate a BOOM or scissor lift and work at heights of 65 plus feet./liliAble to identify independent colors and have knowledge of industry color codes./liliMust have basic telecommunication tools, PPE, and reliable transportation./liliKnowledge of cabling infrastructure.

    Will consider OSP knowledge (CO to Demarc)./liliProficient with the use of smartphones, computers, including email, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office programs./liliExcellent customer relationship and communication skills; verbal and written.

    /liliAbility to employ soft skills; ex:

    teamwork, problem-solving, communication, adaptability, critical thinking, time management, and interpersonal./liliComfortable working unsupervised and with teams of 4 to 20 other technicians./liliAbility to effectively interact with high-level personnel: GCs, IT Professionals, and other Stakeholders./liliValid drivers license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI in the last three years./liliCurrent OSHA 10/30 Certification or is able to acquire it within 60 days of employment./liliKnowledge of working in Industrial environments; Union/ Non-Union; Higher Safety Vigilance/liliIndustry-specific certifications are readily considered (ICT, CCTT, CNCI, DCI, FOI, FOT, TECH)./liliWill consider work done in Basic Telephony and wire-work training.

    /liliExperience in Fiber Optic terminations:

    Unicam (or similar), Single strand and Ribbon fusion splicing

    /liliKnowledgeable in Redlines and As-Builts/li/ulh3Responsibilities:

    /h3ulliInstallation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various cabling infrastructures./liliInstall, terminate, and test Cat6, Fiber Optic Cables, (SM MM) as designed and per the scope of work./liliInstalling, Aiming, and Focusing IP Cameras./liliRun low voltage cabling in commercial buildings up to 2,000,000 sq ft, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit work./liliDress cable pathways and MDFs./liliEnsure all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulations./liliInstall cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and inner-duct./liliErect support structures and install Network Devices (APs, Cameras) per scope of work./liliRepair cable poles and towers./liliConduct tests to ensure all newly installed cable systems and component devices are operational./liliTroubleshoot issues with cable networks to ensure the proper functioning and to ensure the system meets local, county, state, or federal codes; legal and/or insurance requirements./liliAdhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by Wachter, our customers, or OSHA./liliProvide regular updates to Project Management on project status and current objectives./liliLead crews of 6-15 technicians by providing daily instruction and training, as needed.
