Job Summary
The Floating Teacher is an in-house substitute that covers Head Teacher absences breaks meal periods preparation time professional development trainings etc While acting as the substitute Head Teacher the Floating Teacher is responsible for the leadership operation ofthe classroom Major responsibilities include supervision of children adults monitoring attendance food counts planning implementing classroom curriculum maintaining proper classroom ratios requesting additional staff support needed ensuring compliance procedures safety children mentoring student staff Teachers Assistants communicating appropriate professional staff issues arise
Qualifications
- A Teacher Permit from California Department Education.
- An B.A degree Early Childhood Education or related field BA/BS degree preferred.
- AdultChildInfant CPR First Aid Certification required Up-to-date Immunization records MMR Tdap HepB Negative T.B Test result prior hire date Must age years older.
