    What we want

    The Business Associate I provides support for business activities for the finance team in the School of Education and Human Development. This includes verification of financial statements, specialized business tasks, preparing and reviewing electronic documents, and do special projects to support the functions of the Dean's Office in the School of Education and Human Development.

    What you need to know

    Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire's experience

    Cover Letter & Resume: A cover letter and resume are strongly recommended

    Required Education and Experience:

    • High school graduation or any equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Three years' experience in general office, bookkeeping or personnel operations

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
    • Interpersonal and communication skills
    • Planning and organizational skills
    • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with Laserfiche, AggieBuy, Canopy, and Concur.

    Responsibilities:

    Financial Support

    • Enters reviews and reconciles vouchers and requisitions.
    • Investigates errors on transactions and recommends appropriate corrective action.
    • Responds to routine inquiries from vendors and other business units or departments.
    • Prepares basic purchasing documents.
    • Prepares and reviews electronic documents.
    • Maintains business files and assists with specialized business tasks.
    • Disseminates business information to faculty, staff, and students.
    • Perform verifications on monthly financial statements.

    Special Projects

    • May assist with SEHD programs and related financial activities.
    • Support the needs of the Dean's Office as it relates to finances and operations.
    • May perform special projects for the Assistant Dean for Finance.
