- Assist Shareholder with client meetings, drafting pleadings and motions, drafting discovery requests and responses, preparing for settlement conferences and mediations, and hearing and trial preparation.
- Attend hearings, mediations, and depositions both individually and with Shareholder.
- Support case management, including ensuring deadlines are met and proactively bringing issues and proposed solutions to Shareholder, with focus on associate leadership.
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda.
- Membership in good standing with the South Carolina Bar and have completed all 403 requirements (possible Nov. 2025 admission should be referenced).
- A strong interest and willingness to concentrate his or her practice in SC Family Court.
- The ability to thrive in a collaborative team while also working independently.
- A strong work ethic with the ability to frequently work more than 40 hours per week.
- A solid foundation in the rules of civil procedure and rules of evidence, excellent research, written and verbal communication skills, be highly organized and an adept problem solver,
- Courtroom confidence and experience.
