    Minimum 1+ years pharmacy experience required.

    Join our team in Columbus, OH, specializing in providing medication for complex patients.

    Each patient takes 8-15 medications daily, requiring strong communication skills, patience, and a deep understanding of the top drugs found in a retail setting.

    Specialty retail experience is highly preferred.

    We are seeking a pharmacist with very strong patient consultation skills, particularly with patients in advanced stages of chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and MS.

    Experience with chronic illnesses must be explicitly noted on resumes.


    Responsibilities:

    • Provide medication dispensing and patient consultation services with a focus on complex patient populations.
    • Demonstrate patience and empathy when communicating with patients, particularly those with chronic illnesses and low literacy rates.
    • Ensure accurate medication therapy management for each patient, considering their unique medication regimen.
    • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and medication adherence.
    • Maintain proficiency in Rx30 software for efficient pharmacy operations.
    • Adhere to regulatory standards and guidelines in medication dispensing and documentation.
    • Assist with inventory management and procurement to ensure adequate medication supply.
    • Participate in pharmacy quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
    • Provide support to Medicare/Medicaid and lowincome patients, demonstrating compassion and understanding.

    Frequency:
    As needed (per diem), could be 1 day a week or 1 day a month. As needed for dates in May July.


    Shift:
    Operating Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM


    Ideal Candidate:

    • Retail/specialty pharmacist with very strong patient consultation skills.
    • Experience working with patients in advanced stages of chronic diseases, explicitly noted on resume.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients with low literacy rates.
    • Compassionate and patientcentered approach to pharmacy practice.
