- Provide preconstruction activities for ground up projects of $10M to $50M.
- Prepare subcontractor bid tabs and take-offs.
- Prepare detailed instructions to bidders.
- Establish and maintain relationships with existing clients.
- Prepare bid solicitations and build subcontractor relationships.
- Able to prepare project budgets from very limited design information (i.e. SD, DD, etc.).
- Prepare final estimates in conjunction with Project Manager.
- Track project historical costs.
- Participate in business development and work with Calcon stakeholders and aide in the preparation of RFP responses and subsequent interviews.
- Provide expertise related to constructability and building systems over-view. Effectively communicate and participate in design meetings in order incorporate value into final designs.
- Resolve common project problems to maintain good business relationships and outcomes for Calcon.
- B.S. degree in Engineering, Construction Management.
- Four (4) years estimating experience.
- Knowledge of the Denver market is preferred.
- Background in General Contracting consisting of mid-size jobs.
- Experience with various building types (i.e., Multi-family, mixed use residential, healthcare, office, tenant improvement, etc.)
- Solid computer skills; Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and scheduling software.
- ProCore project management software experience a plus.
- Verifiable work references demonstrating exceptional skills and achievements including:
- High level of professionalism; Dependable, results-focused, and ethical
- History of delivering on projects and commitments and strong communication with internal stakeholders and externally with Owners and Design Teams.
- Strong organization, multi-tasking, and planning skills
- Excellent customer service orientation and verbal written communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Detail oriented.
- Successful completion of post-offer background and drug screens

Estimator
An Estimator at Calcon Constructors, Inc. is primarily responsible for preparing project estimates with an emphasis on multi-family and commercial projects. An Estimator will aid in the estimating, planning, and execution of projects from initial concept and throughout the preconstruction phase. Since nearly all of our work is negotiated with repeat and referral clients, an Estimator will promote customer focused approaches to preconstruction efforts by anticipating customer needs and expectations, gaining an understanding of customer priorities, and building a relationship of trust.
General responsibilities include:

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 DOE
Project locations are in Colorado.
