    As a Principal Applications Engineer in Recruiting Tech, you'll work with teams across the world, to improve the technologies that power Atlassian's Talent Acquisition engine You bring expertise in our Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) iCIMS, are comfortable with a dynamic environment, and are extremely motivated to engineering practices and operational excellence. You are enthusiastic and interested in making positive contributions to the team. Your passions include working with technology, defining and refining ways of working, and providing world-class support to employees.
    What you'll do:

    • Own the technical evolution of our Application Tracking Systems, iCIMS and related outcomes.
    • Responsible for defining technical direction, unblocking challenges, and hands-on guiding a technical team to deliver incrementally with high quality.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders and other tech teams to understand problems, define solutions and oversee the building and implementation of enhancements to our ATS and integrated ecosystem of recruiting services.
    • Accountable for the configuration and quality of our ATS, and proactive in driving and addressing performance, scale, complexity, security and compliance.
    • Provide documentation, training and support to HR and Recruitment teams, ensuring they can effectively utilize our ATS.
    • You're a technical thought leader, always thinking ahead on ATS enhancements and sharing best practices that continuously improve the system's and team's performance.


    Your background:

    • 8+ years of experience in recruitment technology
    • Hands-on iCIMS configuration experience including managing user roles and permissions.
    • 2+ years experience in mentoring and coaching application engineers or business system analysts
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong understanding of HR and recruitment processes, technologies, integrations and data.
    • Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at different altitudes.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to stay up-to-date on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices.

    Compensation
    At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
    Zone A: $197,000 - $262,700
    Zone B: $177,300 - $236,400
    Zone C: $163,600 - $218,100
    This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
