    The Role:

    As a Senior Director of People & Culture, you will work across a variety of innovative projects related to people and culture transformation, workforce transition, operating model evolution, and the future of distributed and equitable work. You will manage change initiatives and lead cultural enhancements, while mentoring junior employees and coaching leaders on driving and developing their areas of the business. Working closely with the Senior VP of People & Legal and the Head of People Operations (as well as the wider P&C team), you will be involved in all aspects of people and culture during a time of incredible growth and scale.

    A key component of this role will be to partner with the Product and Engineering teams on all people-related matters. You will work hand-in-hand with the CPO and CTO to build and execute on talent strategies, performance management, P&E policies, compliance, and employee relations. You will also be the founding member of the US P&C team, building out bespoke people policies that meet the lived experience and customs of US talent to help us become a forward-thinking, best-in-class US workplace.

    You will play a key role in building a work environment where everyone can thrive and be a main point of contact for all HR matters, including compensation and benefits, employment law and relations, performance frameworks, change management, and HR best practices. You will be instrumental in keeping a pulse on what our employees need and what the business can do.

    What You'll Do:

    • You are an integral member of the P&C function, influencing and supporting the business through change, triumphs, challenges, and milestones.
    • Collaborate with the Engineering and Product leaders and team to develop and implement programs related to hiring, onboarding, team development, individual growth and development, performance, and HR issues.
    • Build and roll out the progressive ways of working, ways of growing, and ways of engaging that will attract the brightest minds and in turn retain them.
    • Assist in the development of high performance frameworks, proactively driving strategies for teams and individuals to unlock their potential, thrive and chase greatness.
    • Proactively identify problems and opportunities to help prioritize and plan our people roadmap, and fill the gap with immediate short-term solutions while building sustainable longer term approaches.
    • Work closely with the ELT to gain a deep understanding of business goals and priorities, and ensure that we have the right talent in place to achieve them.
    • Be instrumental in having a finger on the pulse of our culture and building strategies to create moments that speak to all of our employees all over the world.
    • Since we are growing at pace, experience with compensation, benefits, performance frameworks will be a part of your tool kit and utilized daily.
    • Lead the continued development of Linktree's culture, promoting and supporting the company's values.
    • Manage members of the team, providing mentorship and empathy to help the team grow.

    What We Are Looking For:

    • 2+ years experience as a senior business partner or Director of HR and 9+ years overall P&C experience, with experience working in fast-paced, dynamic workplaces within a team environment as a must.
    • 2+ years experience as a people manager.
    • LA or SF location - expectation of 3+ days in the office.
    • Strong experience in a consumer-facing tech business - start up experience is a must.
    • Excellent understanding of the HR space, including performance management, leadership development, organizational design & development, talent management, compensation, employee law and relations, and most importantly diversity, equity, and inclusion methodologies.
    • You are human-centric and results focussed, with a strong ability to think outside the box, challenge norms and traditional ways of working, and synthesize lots of complex information to come up with solutions that align with who we are.
    • Outstanding interpersonal and influencing skills, with a demonstrated experience in fostering relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
    • Confidence and communication is key - you have exceptional communication skills and can back yourself with a high level of HR knowledge and expertise when working with stakeholders. You will be required to drive decision-making, so clarity of thought is essential.
    • You'll have incredible attention to detail and ability to draw insights from many qualitative and quantitative sources.
    • Comfort working in an ambiguous environment with little oversight. You use a high degree of judgement to determine what needs to be done well and what needs to be done now, while juggling an extensive range of priorities.
    • You can balance working individually and autonomously whilst also working in and alongside a range of teams — you're comfortable being part of a team, leading projects, or owning things; whatever the job calls for

    Linktree is committed to providing a competitive compensation package. Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $210,000-$315,000 in the San Francisco Bay or Los Angeles area. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate expertise, the scope of role and level, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
