    Trustpoint is excited to partner with a nationally respected Am Law 100 law firm in their search of a Intellectual Property Specialist on a direct hire basis in either their NYC office. Successful candidates will have 4+ years' experience in IP Docketing, proficiency in either CPI or Pattsy, and excellent attention to detail. The firm offers a hybrid schedule, competitive compensation and a world class benefits package.

    Responsibilities:

    • Process all incoming mail and correspondence from USPTO, docketing appropriately
    • Update new rules or procedures for patent applications as they arise
    • Create and update files, calculating deadlines for all domestic applications
    • Create daily and monthly docket reports; distributing to appropriate attorneys and stakeholders
    • Assist with filing procedures with USPTO
    • Verification of reception of all cited references
    • Prepare communication to clients, including Issue Notifications, Letters Patent and Notice of Publication
    • Other tasks and special projects as needed/assigned

    Requirements:

    • 4+ years of experience in intellectual property docketing; strong proficiency in patent docketing
    • Experience with USPTO procedures, including electronic filing
    • CPI or Pattsy software experience (required)
    • Bachelor's degree (strongly preferred)
    • Able to work overtime as needed
    • Excellent communication skill, both verbal and written
    • Able to prioritize competing deadlines and tasks
    • Strong team-oriented mindset and analytical skills
    • All candidates must be able to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time
