    Job Summary:

    HOLT's IT Intern will assist professional staff by providing computer hardware, software, technical, and/or administrative support. This position is for students in the Dallas area, this internship will be conducted on-site and will extend beyond the summer.

    The intern in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.

    Essential Functions:
    • Provides administrative support for the Information Technologies department (documentation, knowledge base, makes copies, answers phones/e-mails)
    • Assists with computer hardware installation, configuration, troubleshooting
    • Assists with gathering requirements for technical projects and tasks
    • Assists with software development (.Net, Sharepoint, DBS), testing, and rollout
    • Responds to incoming calls and logs service requests for Service Desk
    • Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
    • Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    Education and Experience:
    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related discipline
    • Must possess a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint); ability to produce information in spreadsheets, documents, forms, tables, and presentations
    • Knowledge of the operation of personal computers, PC Operating Systems, PC Printers, and peripherals including diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
    • Exceptional skills in customer service
    • Strong organization skills, detailed-oriented, and ability to work on multiple projects
    • Excellent interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, coworkers, and customers (internal and external)
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
