    Sous Chef Position at Bon Appetit Management Company

    We are hiring a Sous Chef to join our cafe team in Mountain View, CA on the Google Campus.

    Job Summary:

    This role is responsible for the culinary quality, service, and experience of the operation. The Sous Chef will develop and direct team members to deliver delicious, nutritious food, exceptional service, and accomplish daily goals and initiatives.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Design, manage, and own the overall experience, not just the offerings.
    • Follow all menu and production/prep expectations and guides, opening/closing checklist, and responsibility guides.
    • Prepare well-balanced meals to fuel users through the day.
    • Set an expectation of hospitality that is friendly and engaging.
    • Train and develop team members.
    • Assist Executive Chef in ensuring that all products and ingredients used are purchased following sector and Food purchasing standards and sustainability commitments.
    • Work with Executive Chef to ensure all employee guidelines are implemented and adhered to.
    • Promote a culture of Food and Workplace Safety.

    Requirements:

    • Degree in Culinary Arts preferred or equivalent professional experience.
    • Minimum of 2 years kitchen supervisory experience or applicable culinary experience in a similar volume, quality food service establishment.
    • Strong passion for great food and hospitality.
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
    • Working knowledge of Google Suite.
    • Possesses general hospitality knowledge and interest in sustainability and sustainable food practices.
    • Ability to drive and enhance a culture of Food and Workplace Safety.
