    JOB SUMMARY:


    The Quality Assurance (QA) Testing Analyst is responsible for creating and administering the Quality Assurance testing plan for all assigned PathGroup projects and functionality fixes, including regression testing.

    The QA Testing Analyst can handle test efforts of easy to moderate risk and complexity, and can work independently to complete testing tasks on time and with some direction.


    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Define with Project Owners, Business Analysts Developers the overall test plan for each assigned PathGroup project. Ensure that the plan proves that the project requirements are met. It is critical that software used by PathGroup's business users function correctly.
    Plan for and independently perform system testing of all software enhancements, bug fixes, and configuration changes, etc. Create any necessary documentation to demonstrate that applicable testing has been accomplished.

    Create and run test plans in Microsoft Test Manager for regular and regression testing to maintain audit compliance of testing.

    Run automated scripts, when needed, to assist with regression testing across multiple projects through use of Smart Bear scripting tool.

    Record and track discovered defects to closure. Assist with metrics related to defect tracking.
    Coordinate the Business User Testing on approved PathGroup projects as well as the other periodic releases of PathSys.

    This requires being able to train business users on how the software is expected to work and to plan scenarios to test new functionality.

    Ensure that User Acceptance is obtained and filed with project test plan and documented into PathGroup's Change Management process.
    Provide testing status reports on assigned projects to Project Sponsor and BA/PM Lead. Attend daily scrum sessions, provide status updates, and track open defects.
    Work with all departments within PathGroup's IT to maintain and ensure all testing environments are current.

    Follow industry best practices and regulatory guidelines to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information (PHI) and other sensitive company data.

    Become familiar with and abide by the PathGroup Compliance Program and its corporate policies, including those surrounding Privacy and Security.

    Requirements


    Knowledgeable in Software Quality Assurance testing concepts, practices, and proceduresUnderstands the various models of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) (iterative, agile, waterfall)Minimum of 2+ years of prior QA job-related testing experience required with integration testing, regression testing, black box testing, and UI/UX testing.

    Possesses a keen attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsSelf-motivated and ability to work on a teamAble to work on multiple projects simultaneouslyProven experience testing in a healthcare field preferred.

    Experience in the use of commercial testing tools a plus.
