TITLE :
Lead Platform Engineer
Build and deploy large scale data pipelines to enable data-driven decision making and health monitoring of Charter's products.

Work with full life cycle of analytics software solutions including design, capacity planning, cluster design, performance tuning, monitoring and deploying/configuring software components.

Leverage streaming cloud-based technologies to ingest, enrich, and deliver real-time information to product teams. Design, develop, and implement complex data pipelines.

Coordinate various streaming analytics software technologies in building and maintaining platforms to support millions of active users, with hundreds of millions of daily API calls.

Write Scala code that meets the production requirements and design specifications. Interact with various stakeholders to understand their business needs, communicate project status. Support the software development of insights, processes, and information that is valued by the business. Utilize Docker for containerization for deployment. Work with Python and Bash for scripting for CI/CD for Agile Development. Utilize programming languages for development including Scala. Regularly work with AWS cloud technologies such as EMR, ECS, ElasticCache, Dynamodb and S3. Work with Python and Bash for scripting for CI/CD for Agile development. Utilize Docker for containerization for deployment. Design and develop software systems at enterprise scale/volume. Provide ad-hoc data analysis to address specific business questions from stakeholder groups. Mentor and lead junior software developers in both design and technology.

Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent), in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or related field and 3 years of experience utilizing programming languages for development including Scala; utilizing AWS cloud technologies like EMR, ECS, ElasticCache, Dynamodb and S3.

Must have 2 years of experience with Python and Bash scripting for CI/CD for Agile development; utilizing Docker containerization for deployment; designing and developing software systems at enterprise scale/volume; A qualified applicant's criminal history, if any, will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws, including local ordinances.
