We learn, grow, and achieve more – in our careers and in our communities.The Lead Surgical Technologist and/or the Lead Certified Surgical Technologist assists the clinical team leader with case card development and changes.
The Lead Surgical Technologist and/or the Lead Certified Surgical Technologist has expertise in surgical service line(s), serves as a primary preceptor for new associates, surgical tech students and senior surgical techs.
Provides performance documentation to manager.In collaboration with the department educator, identifies surgical technician educational needs through observation and audits as it relates to infection control practices at the sterile field, efficiency in case preparations, and overall knowledge of instrumentation and procedures.
Conduct quality audits to ensure appropriate infection control and compliance safeguards are followed to drive expected patient outcomes. Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist school or equivalent military training, or 10+ years' experience as a Surgery Tech.Have necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care Monitor sterile field Provide aid in exposure, hemostasis, and other technical functions.
