    Description

    Role: NetBackup L3

    Location: Princeton, NJ – preferred

    Candidate should have in depth knowledge of Minimum 7-10 years of strong experience in Symantec NetBackup and Networker.

    • Multiple Software Versions- hands on experience Advantages of new over previous, Difference with previous release etc.
    • Backup Architecture, Master server, Media server, Client, Tape Library and Disks storage units.
    • Should be able to define backup standard and mentor his/her team members.
    • Understanding the daemon flow, working knowledge of Netbackup GUI/CLI on multiple OS flavors like WINTE, UNIX, and Linux etc.
    • Must have solid understanding of Backup DR drills and procedures and able to define new process and build landscape if required.
    • Concepts and solid knowledge of configuration and troubleshooting of Oracle, SQL, DB2, Exchange, SharePoint backups etc.
    • An understanding of enterprise applications that utilize the aforementioned database technologies at an SME/architect level, including real-world experience with protection, recovery, and design of large-scale deployments for high availability, fault tolerance, and performance.
    • Solid understanding and working experience on NDMP configuration and troubleshooting.
    • VMWare/Hyper-V backup configuration and troubleshooting.
    • Installation and Configuration of Master/Media servers and clients
    • Experience in handling and managing DataDomain
    • Good understanding of Duplication, De-duplication, Replication of backed-up data
    • Good knowledge of disk staging, high water and low water marks.
    • Good understanding of Operating system like UNIX, Linux and Windows Operating Systems

    Non-Technical Skills:

    • Able to demonstrate & experienced in solving complex business or technical issues.
    • Should have exposure to ITIL framework, preferable ITSM tool is Remedy (Incident, Problem and Change Management)

    Demonstrable results in a business customer facing role, with a track record of delivering services to defined service levels
